Javier Murcia was born in Cartagena (Murcia, Spain) showed little fondness for nature and the sea. His first book of the marine fauna with age was 8 years and recently was able to recognize many animal species.
Living near the sea made his love of marine animals were more. Since very little diving with mask, snorkel and fins, which led to a great interest in diving and soon began to feel the itch to capture marine species in the form of images. Purchased by the time his first disposable cameras and started with the wonderful world of underwater photography. But it was not until 2006 when (in the digital age) was able to capitalize on his photographic hobby
His great passion is macro shots, with a fondness for cephalopods and rare animals and difficult to photograph. He likes to follow many marine biological and so curious captures images of animal behavior. His photographic archive is characterized by the underwater world of the Mediterranean, Mar Menor coastal lagoon and the Atlantic islands, but in recent years has been fortunate to have been able to dive in other parts of the world such as Madagascar and Mexico.
He also feels a strong predilection for freshwater fauna and aquatic insects and amphibians.
His photos have been published in several books out of marine, banners, posters and brochures of various ecological foundations, and have been and are exhibited in museums and exhibitions
