Hilario Itriago Schön.
His passion for photography and video is almost as essential as the one for the underwater world. He was born in Venezuela, "refurbished" Mexican and adopted in Cancun. Beyond his studies of Social Anthropology he wonders the underwater world stealing moments and images that people usually call movies and pictures.
His passions are shared with extraordinary friends from whom he learns as he teaches. He has been a FMAS, CMAS, And NAUI diving instructor for a bit of years.
He has had the honor of selling underwater images and movies to relevant institutions among them: Tourism Council of México, Convention and Visitors Office of Cancún, Federal Electricity Commission nd the Government of Quintana Roo, México. He has also been honored in participating o several publications, among them: The Great Mayan Reef, Quintana Roo Replica of Paradise, several books of Monclem editors, Revillagigedo Beyond Our Frontiers and is the producer of "A Fish Guide for the Mexican Caribbean" and "What Hides".
He is an active collaborator of: Fish Base Consortium, Smithsonian Institute, Ocean Footage and Coral Reef Fish. He has work with: The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel Televisa, TV Azteca, and several independent movie and video producers. Some magazines have published his pictures and they even paid him. Most relevant: Scuba Diving Magazine and Sport Divers.
