Thomas Jurkschat was born in Hannover in February 1968. Born under the sign of Pisces it was clear that water will become a superior part in his life. He started to discover the underwater world at the age of 15 while snorkelling, before he took a course to become a scuba diver in 1992.
His first underwater camera was a Sea&Sea Motormarine II, bought in 1996. It took a while before he changed to digital fotography. Since 2009 Thomas uses an Olympus E-330 in an Ikelite housing. His great passion is taking underwater pictures - and especially working with underwater models.
